About us
Ignius Brasil was created in 2014 from the shared ideas of its founders, gemologists Felipe Pereira and Pedro Imperiano, while they were studying for their Bachelor's degree in Gemology at the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil.
The project took shape, the ideas were put into practice, and in 2016 what had been a university project became one of the most renowned gem analysis and identification laboratories in Brazil, respected worldwide: IGNIUS LABORATÓRIO GEMOLÓGICO LTDA.
Our commitment is to pursue the highest service standards, respecting the norms and standards required by science and following international market practice, using up-to-date technical and scientific knowledge together with modern instruments — delivering reliability and security to our clients.
Ignius issues technical reports used by major mining companies, jewellers, dealers, collectors and gem lovers who seek well-grounded, impartial, ethical and precise opinions on gem minerals, gemstones and jewelry.
We are the official gemological laboratory of the main gemstone fairs in Latin America and the partner laboratory of leading marketplaces in Brazil and abroad. In Minas Gerais we are members of SINDIJOIAS and AJOMIG, providing services to fellow members.
